No need to beat around the bush: I just love this demo. The artwork is out of the ordinary, the atmosphere is out of the ordinary, even the fact of me enjoying a dungeon synth record is. Although the very few actual black metal moments do shine and are among my favourites, even the calm and soothing passages of the album possess a certain black metal attitude. Sleeping is a very hard thing for me, and this excellent demo is among the few things making it possible at the moment. Thanks! David Fischer
Avindskjold is an immensely immersive listening experience; thanks to Wyattxhim for talking about this great project. The mixture of dark ambient, atmospheric black metal passages and dungeon synth is really intriguing. Each song individually is good, but when enjoyed as a whole (which due to the crisp 30 minute runtime is very easy to manage), the record transcends the mere sum of its parts. The black metal parts have been increased substantially in comparison to the MMXVII demo. David Fischer
Melodic BM from the burgeoning Danish underground. Prominent swelling bass rhythms drive each of these short songs along and, like their striking cover art, give Jordslaet
